| (WSB Radio) -- A newly released water report card on the 16-county metro Atlanta region shows the area gets an "F" in 4 of the 6 categories.
Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper Sally Bethea tells WSB that we still have too many people on septic, too much outmoded plumbing, too many leaky pipes, and water's still too cheap to discourage overuse. She says we are making progress cutting down outdoor watering, but we need smarter landscaping.
Bethea tells WSB that any high school geography student could tell you by looking at a map that we can't continue sustain the current rate of growth in metro Atlanta with such a small watershed, but some people don't like to hear that. She believes water efficiency is the key to the future.
