Water For Ice Rink
(WSB Radio) -- Despite the drought, there will be ice skating at Centennial Olympic Park this holiday season.

The Georgia Wold Congress Center Authority, which oversees the park's operation, says plans include erecting the ice rink with water purchased from Kentucky.

It will take roughly 12,000 gallons to created a layer of ice up to 3 inches thick across the 64 by 115 foot rink.

The rink opens later this month and will be open through Jan. 6.
