| (WSB Radio) -- Lake Lanier is at its lowest level in more than 20 years. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reports the lake is 15 feet below full, its lowest level since Oct. 24, 1986, when the state was in another historic drought. The corps expects Lanier to hit that record within the next two weeks and keep dropping. Lanier's all-time low happened Dec. 23, 1981, when it was more than 17 feet below full, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which operates Lanier. |
