| Water Usage Down | |
| (WSB Radio) Last month, Governor Perdue ordered cities to cut water usage by 10 percent.
While not quite there, cities like Atlanta, are making progress. Janet Ward, Spokeswoman for the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management tells WSB's Jennifer Griffies they've cut usage by seven percent. "We know we need to go more. We know we need to get there, but we're very happy with these numbers," said Ward. Usage is still down from what it was this time last year. "We were using 105 million gallons a day average for November of last year, and we're down to 94 million this year," said Ward. Cobb County is down by six percent. Clayton County is down two percent. The cities have until March to reach the goal. December 3, 2007 |
