HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — A deadly crash investigation on Interstate 75 in Henry County had traffic at a standstill for hours Tuesday morning.

Henry County police confirmed to Triple Team Traffic that at least one person has died. The name of the victim has not been released.

Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields has been following the crash since it happened after 4:30 a.m. near Jonesboro Road exit.

The crash shut down all I-75 southbound lanes as police investigated what led up to the crash. Police started to reopen a few lanes just after 11 a.m.

Shields says traffic was being diverted at Jodeco Road and drivers can use Hwy 19/41 or Hwy 42 as alternates.
