Chris Jose is an Emmy-award winning journalist at WSB-TV. Chris was quickly promoted to Cobb County Bureau Chief seven months after his arrival in 2017. On top of his day-to-day responsibilities covering the news in Cobb County, Chris has traveled across the southeast to report on the region’s biggest stories. Chris was on the Georgia coast for Hurricane Irma. He provided continuous live updates during Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Michael, and led coverage on the ground during the deadly tornadoes in Lee County, Alabama. On New Year's Day in 2018, Chris was in Pasadena when the University of Georgia won the Rose Bowl. Before moving to Atlanta, Chris worked at KXAS-TV in Dallas, Texas, KDVR-TV in Denver, Colorado and KGAN-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He got his start at KGWN-TV in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Chris has also contributed national live reports for FOX News Channel and MSNBC covering the Aurora Theater shooting, Dallas police massacre, historic Colorado wildfires and President Trump’s immigration ban on Muslim countries. He graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. In his free time, Chris enjoys exploring Georgia with his wife, dog and twin toddlers. Chris is an active member of the Asian American Journalists Association and volunteers at various non-profit organizations in Cobb County.
