Yes, it’s only been one year since we said goodbye to Modern Family after nearly eleven years. BUT - that doesn’t mean that we can’t indulge in some spinoff rumors, right?
Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who played the beloved Mitchell Pritchett since the pilot, chimed in on the possibility of a spinoff series starring him while visiting with E!’s Daily Pop recently:
Nothing is official. I have not been asked to do anything yet, so you know, it’s being talked about, but I haven’t heard anything official.

For what it’s worth, ABC Entertainment president Karey Burke said she brought up the idea of a spinoff to Modern Family co-creator Steven Levitan a lot during production of the final season in 2019, and every time she got “smacked down.”
While there isn’t any official word yet on a new series, fans are able to relive their favorite Modern Family episodes on both Peacock and Hulu, thanks to a deal between Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution.
