18-year-old Austin was having a horrible pain in his neck in 7th grade and was told he had a blood clot in his neck after visiting the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Emergency Department. They learned he actually had blood clots all over and spent 18 days in the ICU fighting for his life. He now visits the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center monthly to receive treatment for his condition.
