Abby was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2009 and is still fighting her battle. Today, she is 18 years and studying psychology at Dalton State University Elijay Campus. She loves being a college student and getting to hangout with her friends on campus.
After graduation, Abby is planning to be get a job at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite as a Child Life Specialist. A Child Life Specialist provides help and support to children who are going through various illnesses, surgeries, MRIs, and chemo to help them not feel afraid. She is currently volunteering once a week at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite as a Child Life Specialist.
