ATLANTA — The fans have packed into Mercedes-Benz Stadium for Super Bowl 53 Sunday night. They’ll watch as the Patriots take-on the Rams to decide the NFL’s champion to put a cap on the 2018 season.
Aside from who will capture the Lombardi trophy, the other unknown into Sunday was would the roof of MBS be opened or closed for the game. The NFL early Sunday afternoon announced it would open the roof for pregame festivities, then close it for game action.
The weather forecast called for highs in the upper 50’s during the day, falling into the mid 40’s later in the evening.
