Two people die in a fiery wreck outside the Purina plant in Gainesville early this morning.
A tractor-trailer hauling dog food was turning right on Purina Drive, when the big truck collided with a smaller vehicle, either a truck, or car. The fire was so fierce and burned so hot, the vehicle is unrecognizable.
Two people died, but the trucker managed to jump free before it exploded. The truck was hauling dog food from the nearby Purina plant.
Gainesville police Corporal Kevin Holbrook said for a time there was "the possibility" other bodies were in the burning wreckage.
Preliminary indications are, the truck was making a right turn when the smaller vehicle hit it at "a high rate of speed." The smaller vehicle wound up under the truck when both vehicles caught fire.
