A house fire in Athens claims the lives of a mother and her adult son.
The bodies of the 84-year-old woman and the 54-year-old man were found just after 9 o'clock Thursday night as Athrns-Clarke County firefighters searched the burning home on Martin Circle just east of downtown Athens.
The names of the victims have not been released and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
