ATLANTA — Two women were arrested in connection to a deadly shooting in December of 2024, according to Atlanta police.

Atlanta police say 33-year-old Lavette Roker was arrested by East Point police in connection to the killing of Matt Dearing on Centra Villa Drive.

Police say Nekeisha Crenshaw, 32, turned herself in on Thursday.

According to Atlanta police, officers responded to a person shot call at the 1700 block of Centra Villa Drive around 9:31 p.m. on Dec. 1.

Officers found a 55-year-old man with a gunshot wound upon arrival to the scene. The victim, identified as Dearing, was rushed to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Roker is being held in the Fulton County Jail on murder and party of crime charges.

Crenshaw is still being booked into the Fulton County Jail and faces murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm charges.
