ATLANTA — Police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Atlanta.

Officers and investigators with the homicide unit responded to the 600 block of Lee Street after a shooting around 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The identity of the victim was not released.
