DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A Lithonia man was sentenced to 70 years in prison after he was accused of shooting his wife after she filed for divorce.

A DeKalb County jury convicted 33-year-old D’Mante Anderson on several charges, including aggravated assault and family violence, according to police.

Police say Anderson shot his wife in June of 2019 after she served him with divorce papers.

Officials add that the couples’ children witnessed the shooting.
