Man arrested after waving gun at girlfriend, child in Sandy Springs, police say

SANDY SPRINGS — Police have released more information about an incident where a man waved a gun at a child in Sandy Springs on Monday.

Police responded to Fenwick Place around 2 p.m. on Monday.

Officers said D’quan Prebble got into a fight with his girlfriend. When his girlfriend’s sister stepped in to deescalate the situation, police said Prebble pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot everyone, including a child.

When police arrived, officers said they saw Prebble run into the woods.

After a two hour manhunt, police found Prebble in a wooded area near Dumaine Trace and arrested him.

Prebble faces multiple charges including terroristic threats, cruelty to children in the 3rd degree, theft by taking, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
