ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after vandals caused damage to more than 100 MARTA bus stop shelters across Atlanta.

According to police, some bus shelters, including a few on Memorial Drive have been vandalized with graffiti. One was painted with a liquid that etches the glass and makes it impossible for officials to remove.

MARTA says more the vandals caused thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Each one of the glass panels costs $200, according to MARTA officials.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call MARTA police.
