Kemp joins Perdue for Athens fundraiser, names new GEMA director

Stallings replaces Bryson

Governor Brian Kemp joined Senator David Perdue in a Tuesday night fundraiser in Athens: Republican Perdue is running for a second term in an election that is now 62 days away. He’s opposed by Atlanta  Democrat Jon Ossoff.

Governor Kemp names a new director for the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency. Chris Stallings has been with the State Patrol since 2008, most recently serving as the head of its Dignitary Protection Unit. Stallings replaces the now retired GEMA director. Flowery Branch native Homer Bryson stepped down at the end of last month.
