Johns Creek works out a compromise over the number of billboards popping up around town.

Due to a court ruling before Johns Creek even incorporated, the city faced the prospect of up to 31 billboards within its limits.  But Mayor Mike Bodker and Councilwoman Cori Davenport negotiated with the billboard company and managed to get that number down to ten.

There are two dozen sites around town where those double-sided billboards can go.  All are in commercial areas.  None will advertise services like pawn shops or adult bookstores.

Johns Creek City Council members unanimously endorsed the agreement, calling it the best the city could do, given its legal position.
