ATLANTA — Officials say one person has died and two people are in custody after a shooting involving a police officer on Thursday afternoon in Atlanta.
The shooting happened just before 1 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW near Fairburn Road.
The identity of the victim and the two people who are in custody has not been released by police.
Police have issued a warning to avoid the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and Fairburn Road.
The GBI has been requested to investigate.
