ATLANTA — A busy stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Atlanta was shut down on Monday morning as police investigate a deadly two-vehicle crash.

Police say a crash involving a Toyota Corolla and Ford Focus killed at least one person around 10:30 a.m. near the 2000 block of Martin Luther King Drive and Larchwood Road.

According to authorities, the driver of the Toyota Corolla was the only person inside the vehicle and were pronounced dead on scene.

There were two people inside the Ford Focus. They were each rushed to the hospital. The current extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. The identity of the victim is unknown at this time.

The Accident Investigations Unit responded to the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
