COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — College Park police confirmed a man is dead and four people are hospitalized after a crash on Interstate 285.

All lanes of I-285 at Interstate 85 near the Atlanta airport were shut down just before 6 a.m.

Police confirmed the crash involved between three to five vehicles, including a tractor-trailer and Stockbridge police cruiser.

A 47-year-old man died in the crash. Four others were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Stockbridge police said their officer was not injured. None of the victims in the crash have been identified.

Investigators with Georgia State Patrol are on the way to assist College Park police. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Most of the lanes remain closed with only one left lane moving as of 8:20 a.m. Shields says drivers can use Hwy. 29 or Godby Road to Forest Parkway as an alternate route.
