The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has identified two deputies killed in the line of duty as Marshall Ervin and Jonathan Koleski.
The officers were shot and killed as they attempted to serve a warrant at a Marietta home on Thursday night.
The Sheriff’s Office said two men at the home on Hampton Glen Ct. ambushed the officers, firing from both inside a car and from inside the home.
The suspects have been identified as Christopher Cook and Christopher Golden.
Cook was wanted on prior felony theft by receiving charges. Those charges have not been upgraded yet.
Golden was charged with three counts of felony murder and three counts of aggravated assault of a police officer.
It’s unclear why the men opened fire on the officers.
