DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County police are investigating a crash that killed two people.
Authorities said on Saturday at 2:43 a.m. officers received reports of a crash on Fairington Road near Willowick Drive.
When officers arrived, they found two vehicles damaged from the accident.
The investigation revealed a car driven by a man in his 20s was attempting to pass a vehicle being driven by a man in his 50s who had a passenger in his 60s. When he tried to pass the car, he collided with it head-on.
Police said the driver, in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, in his 20s, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
Authorities confirmed the passenger, in his 60s, was also taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.
None of the identities of the victims have been released.
The crash remains under investigation.
