ATLANTA — An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in southeast Atlanta late Friday evening.

Officers responded to 1676 Lakewood Ave. SE after reports of a person who was shot around 11:47 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died.

The identity of the victim has not been released.
