Amtrak says delays could affect holiday travel

With holiday travel in high gear, Amtrak is warning of possible delays through its busy northeast corridor.

Service had to be temporarily suspended Sunday between Philadelphia and New York because of downed power lines.

Crews cleared the tracks but Amtrak warns that some trains must run at reduced speeds. It is offering to waive fees to any affected riders who choose to change their reservations.

Winter weather from the Great Lakes to New England could affect travelers as well.
