Atlanta police join forces with other law enforcement for street racing crackdown

ATLANTA, GA — Atlanta police have been cracking down on the dangerous drivers who take over streets and cause traffic jams, putting the public at risk.

Police Chief Darin Schierbaum says they are prepared if anyone comes to the city to street race.

“If you’re going to come to Atlanta to street race, you’re going to meet the Atlanta Police Department and the Georgia State Patrol. We will have specialized teams deployed throughout the city.”

He says those specialized teams will include their aerial units of drones and helicopters.
