DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police have made an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting outside of a busy shopping center in DeKalb County in October.

DeKalb County police say detectives identified the suspect and made an arrest on Tuesday.

On Oct. 5, 2024, DeKalb County police responded to a call about a shooting near the 1200 block of Panola Road in Lithonia. Officers found a man shot to death in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect came to the location and opened fire at the victim killing him, police said.

A 22-year-old man was also shot in the leg and a 30-year-old woman was shot in her torso, police added.

The initial investigation shows a car pulled up to one or more of the victims before several shots were fired from the car. The suspects fled the scene.

The suspect, whose name was not released by police, is in DeKalb County Jail.
