Atlanta federal judge throws the book at Canadian charged with drug trafficking in Georgia

GEORGIA — An Atlanta judge throws the book at an international criminal, leading to a lot of prison time for a Canadian charged with drug trafficking in Georgia.

The US district judge sentenced 37-year-old Canadian Arden McCann to 30 years in federal prison.

Charges out of the northern district of Georgia say McCann made millions running a China-to-US fake Xanax racket on the dark web.

The case came together when authorities seized millions of the counterfeit Xanax pills, $200,000 dollars in cash, and more than a dozen guns and bullet proof vests.
