ATLANTA — An Atlanta MARTA station is back in service after emergency personnel were called to conduct an investigation.
MARTA officials said on Twitter that the Vine City MARTA station was shut down to an “emergency situation.”
Due to an emergency situation at Vine City East/ West line are experiencing delays. Shuttling from Bankhead to Ashby EB platform only. Bus service provided from Vine City to G W C C / C N N Center. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Investigators said that around 6 a.m. a man was accidentally injured, causing service to stop for half an hour.
Authorities are now trying to determine if the injury was due to a train or if he was near a train when the injury occurred.
The specifics of the investigation have not been released.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.
Police have not released the victim’s identity.
The Vine City MARTA station began regular service at 7:46 a.m.
