ATLANTA — The Progressive Insurance Atlanta Boat Show announced Monday that it was postponing this year’s boat show over a number of reasons that include low boat inventory and supply chain issues.
“We’re experiencing extraordinary levels of consumer interest in boating amid product scarcity. Following months-long analysis and conversations with exhibitors and partners to produce an event that would deliver a positive experience for our attendees, coupled with date availability at the Georgia World Congress Center, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Atlanta Boat Show to 2023,” show manager Courtney Erhardt said.

Organizers of the show said to help make up for it, they are working on a new boating event that will be held on Lake Lanier in March 2022.
“Plans are underway to produce a boating event on Lake Lanier this spring as we look to expand the way we serve boaters in Georgia,” Erhardt said. “At the new Lake Lanier event, attendees can expect to see the latest model boats and find inspiration for their summer boating adventures on the water.”
Organizers said they anticipate bringing back the boat show next year and details about the Lake Lanier event will be released at a later date.
