ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a deadly shooting in southwest Atlanta.

It happened just before 8 p.m. on Mount Gilead Road SW.

Investigators said they found a man dead from apparent gunshot wound when they arrived at the scene.

The shooting remains under investigation.
