ATLANTA — MARTA police are investigating after a person was hit and killed by a train Sunday night.

Officials say someone was on the MARTA rail track between the Lindbergh and Arts Center stations when they were hit by a southbound train and killed just before 8:30 p.m.

A bus bridge is currently being used between the Midtown and Lindbergh stations.

MARTA police are continuing to investigate what led up to the fatal accident.
