ATLANTA — A college student accused in the death of her roommate could be granted bond Thursday.
Jordyn Jones is accused of killing her Clark Atlanta University roommate, Alexis Crawford, last year.
Jones is set to appear at a bond hearing at 1 p.m. Thursday.
Police said Crawford and Jones got into a physical fight at their apartment on the night of October 30. Jones boyfriend, Barron Brantley, later became involved.
Police said Jones and Brantley strangled Crawford with a plastic bag, put her body in a plastic bend and dumped it in a Decatur park.

Three days before the murder, investigators said Crawford accused Brantley of rape.
Jones later admitted to killing Crawford.
In a news hearing Wednesday, Crawford family spokesman Rev. Markel Hutchins said Crawford's family is shocked Jones could be granted bond and reminded the public of what she is accused of.
"Jordyn Jones was Alexis' roommate, but she was also considered by Alexis to be her best friend," Hutchins said. "And in an act of ultimate betrayal, Jordan strangled and murdered Alexis in the most callous way possible."
Hutchins called for the Fulton County District Attorney to fight aggressively to make sure that neither Jones nor Brantley are ever granted bond.
“To now think that a judge could grant a bond to Jordyn Jones for killing Alexis Crawford is just unimaginable and pours salt into those wounds,” Hutchins said.
