Georgia Power crews are working hard to restore power to those still waiting on it to return.

“Several thousands workers are involved overall a lot of those are in the field but there’s also folks in the background in control centers,” said Georgia Power spokesperson John Kraft. “We had winds last night for instance that gave us new outages. So some of those that we are still dealing with happened overnight or this morning.”

As crews work to restore power for that storm, they are looking ahead to another potential storm later this week.

Not only did the storm cause massive power outages, many people at the Atlanta airport are stuck with new travel plans because of flight cancellations and delays.

“I found out my flight was canceled last night, but I was able to re-book. I re-booked on a 2 o’clock flight, but then I just came in. I just landed. That was delayed 3 hours,” traveler Stacey Samuel O’Brien told Channel 2′s Michele Newell.
