ATLANTA — Are you wearing your Atlanta Braves red today?

For the first time since 1999, the Braves are hosting a World Series game when Game 3 of the Braves vs. Astros series moves to Truist Park.

The series is currently tied at one game each. The Braves dominated on Game 1, clobbering Houston in a 6-2 victory. But the Astros proved strong in Game 2, beating the Braves 7-2.

Here is what to know about Wednesday’s Game 3 as the Braves hope to take the lead back from Houston.

Game Information and Tickets

Matchup: Atlanta Braves at Houston Astros, World Series Game 3 at Truist Park

Time: First pitch is scheduled for 8:09 p.m. Eastern time

Tickets: Tickets on secondary market are still available. StubHub shows Game 3 prices starting at $927 for standing room only.

Watch party: The Battery Atlanta will host a watch party that begins 30 minutes before first pitch.

Starting Pitchers: Ian Anderson starts for the Braves, Luis Garcia takes the mound for the Astros. Anderson last pitched six days ago vs. the Dodgers. He threw four innings giving up only one run on three hits.

Garcia pitched in the Astros ALCS clinching game six. He’s not pitched in the past seven days.. Garcia threw 5 2/3 innings of shutout baseball giving up only one hit with seven strikeouts.

Keys to the Game

For the Braves, the most important issue will be Anderson pitching deep into the game. The longer he can go, the less pressure it will put on the bullpen who will likely shoulder much of the load for the following two games. At the plate, Atlanta needs Austin Riley and others to step it up a bit against Garcia who was extremely good in his last outing.

For Houston, scoring early will be very important. The Astros are a team that does not swing and miss very often, they’ll try to get to Anderson early. One thing to watch for is who starts in their outfield as there will be no designated hitter while the series is played in Atlanta.

The other thing to watch out for is the weather. According to Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan it’s expected to be overcast with temperatures in the low 50′s by game time. There’s a 30-40% chance of rain Friday night, Monahan said the rain will likely be light.
