Multiple streets within downtown Atlanta will be affected by closures, according to the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT).

According to a release, the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) will temporarily close multiple streets in downtown Atlanta in celebration of the 2024 Peach Drop event, which has been a long-standing tradition in Atlanta since 1989.

The Peach Drop is hosted by the City of Atlanta and will take place at Underground Atlanta.

All vehicle access to Underground Atlanta will be prohibited, beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The City of Atlanta encourages the use of MARTA and ride share.

The following road closures will be in effect.

Tuesday, December 31, 2024:

Pryor St SW

• Full street closure from Decatur St SE to Martin L. King Jr., Dr SW

Wall St SW

• Full street closure from Central Ave SW to Peachtree St

Peachtree St

• Full street closure from Marietta St NW/Decatur St SE to Alabama St SW

• Full street closure from Alabama St SW to Martin L. King Jr., Dr SW

• This street will close at 2:00 p.m., except for guests at the Fairfield Hotel

Alabama St SW

• Full street closure from Forsyth St SW to Peachtree St

• This street will close at 4:00 p.m.

Broad Street SW

• Full street closure from Martin L. King Jr., Dr SW to Alabama St SW

• This street will close at 4:00 p.m.
