Bars and nightclubs get their chance to re-open Monday across Georgia

The rolling re-opening of groups of businesses will continue Monday, as bars and nightclubs in metro Atlanta and Georgia will be allowed to welcome customers. Those establishments will have to follow more than three dozen procedures.

It’s the latest following Governor Brian Kemp’s new executive order announcing a new batch of relaxing of restrictions as the state’s economy looks to slowly re-emerge out of the coronavirus pandemic.

As of Sunday afternoon, Georgia health officials reported 46,986 cases of COVID-19. There are now 7,946 hospitalizations, with 2,042 deaths. The state now reports 553,986 coronavirus tests, which includes antibody testing.
