Beyonce’s ‘Beygood Foundation’ donates $2.5 million in California wildfire relief

ATLANTA — Best known for making great music and inspiring millions around the world, Beyonce is finding new ways to make a positive impact on others.

Beyonce’s foundation is donating $2.5 million to wildfire relief in California, according to an Instagram post by her foundation Beygood.

The death toll in the California wildfires has continued to rise. Fires tearing through the Los Angeles area have killed at least 24 people, displaced thousands of others and destroyed more than 12,000 structures, according to California officials..

“BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars,” according to the Instagram post. “The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.

The post went on to say you can visit https://beygood.org to show your support for the impacted families and to learn more about BeyGOOD’s mission.

There are multiple organizations around the country that have been donating, and helping with wildfire relief, including the Red Cross of Georgia.
