ATLANTA — A former Atlanta mayor is ‘thanking God’ after a bullet appears to fire through a family member’s home, narrowly missing her nephew.
On Saturday, former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms took to Twitter to address her concerns after a bullet hit the home of one of her family members.
What goes up must come down. Someone fired a gun in the air, likely miles away, and it came thru the house into my nephew’s room. He was in the bed inches away. We are grateful that God protected him. If you have a gun, please act responsibly. This could be you or your child. pic.twitter.com/F8dFLodvVo

“What goes up must come down,” Bottoms said in a tweet.
Bottoms said an individual fired a gun in the air, likely more than a mile away, that ended up coming through one of her family member’s home into her nephew’s room.
According to Bottoms, his bed was just inches away.
She said that she and her family are grateful God protected him.
Bottoms did not specify where her nephew’s home is located. She’s reminding gun carriers to act responsibly.
Last year, Gov. Brian Kemp, made it legal for individuals to carry a concealed gun without a permit in the state of Georgia.
