The case of a Georgia mother arrested after her ten year old son walked alone to the store is getting national attention.
Brittany Patterson was at a pediatrician’s office and didn’t know her 10-year-old son had strolled a mile to the Dollar General Store. Fannin County deputies later arrested her at home in front of her kids.
She tells the Tamron Hall show her case was not handled properly. Her attorney David Delugas slams a “Safety Plan” authorities want Patterson to sign to drop the reckless conduct charge.
“How far do we say is it okay for your kid from home and at what age? Who decides that and what gives them the authority to decide that?”
