A new Georgia state tax credit could save you thousands and help foster kids

ATLANTA, GA — The clock is ticking for Georgians to take advantage of a tax credit to help kids who age out of the foster care system.

Passed by the legislature two years ago, the state of Georgia sets aside $20 million in tax credits as part of the ‘Fostering Success’ tax credit for Georgians who donate to one of the qualifying foster organizations.

The donation has to be approved and received by December 31st.
