COBB COUNTY, Ga. — The Cobb County Fire Department is mourning the loss of a firefighter who died Tuesday.

According to the department’s Facebook page, firefighter Julian Daniels died on his 18th anniversary at the department. He joined on Feb. 28, 2005.

Officials said they would release details regarding his death as they become available.

“Our hearts are heavy as our department mourns the loss of our brother who served the citizens of Cobb County for 18 years,” officials wrote on Facebook.

No further information has been provided.
