ATLANTA, GA — At a court hearing on Tuesday morning, the man accused of shooting three people inside The Hub at Peachtree Center last June has been offered a plea deal.
Jeremy Malone has until January to decide whether to accept the state’s offer.
On the attempted murder charge, the state is recommending 30 years with 15 to serve. On each of the four counts of aggravated assault, prosecutors are asking for 20 years with 15 to serve.
Jeremy Malone fired several rounds at people in the downtown food court before being shot and subdued by an off-duty officer.
Tuesday’s hearing is a procedural step in advance of a final plea hearing in mid January. A jury trial is currently scheduled for late March.
Malone, who is already a convicted felon, is being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.
