(COWETA COUNTY, Ga.) — The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new K-9 team to their office this week.
K-9 Theo and his handler, Sergeant Trent Hastings, completed their certification a few weeks before joining the team.
The 2-year-old German Shepard came to CCSO from Hungary.
K-9 Theo lives with Hastings and trains a day in and day out while on and off duty.
This is the department’s seventh K-9 team.
“We know this new team will serve Coweta proudly,” officials wrote on Facebook. “We are so excited about their successful future along with our other canine teams.”
There is always one K-9 team on call 24 hours daily to assist deputies in their investigations.
