BROOKHAVEN, GA — Crews have been working for several hours to repair a 30-inch water main break on Clairmont Road near Dresden Drive on Tuesday.
There are about 100 homes and several businesses in the area that are impacted by the water main break.
Police have closed Clairmont Road between Dresden Drive and Bragg Street. Due to detours in the area, several businesses have suffered.
That includes Express Car Wash where employee Brandon Watson said the business day was pretty much lost.
“It’s kind of annoying. We haven’t had any sales,” Watson said.
DeKalb County officials have provided free bottled water to those impacted.
DeKalb County Watershed Management says the repair work should continue for most of the day.
There is no word on when Clairmont Road will reopen.
