DEKALB COUNTY — Water and sewer bills could increase for some Metro Atlanta residents.
The Dekalb County Commission is due to vote on the issue on Tuesday night.
After a delay in the vote last month, Dekalb Commissioners will once again take a look at at plan to increase water bills by six percent every year for the next three years.
Officials say the additional revenue is needed to repair the county’s aging water system.
A second proposal passed by the Dekalb’s Public Works committee would increase rates by eight percent each year over the next decade. That would add up to a 116 percent total increase.
That item is not listed on Tuesday’s agenda.
