Dekalb County teacher charged with DUI after incident on campus

A Dekalb County teacher is accused of drunk driving in a school incident witnessed by her own students.

The incident happened at Tucker High School where officials say Minnie Turner, 60, who is a science teacher crashed into several parked vehicles in the school parking lot.

Police charged Turner with DUI and took her to jail.

The employee has been placed on administrative leave and is not allowed on any D.C.S.D. property until the investigation is concluded,” Dekalb County Schools said in a statement issued about the incident.

No one was hurt in the incident, and no word if Turner is out of jail.
