Delta settles COVID-related lawsuit

Delta Air Lines has settled a Covid-related lawsuit.

The complaint against the carrier claimed Delta failed to issue timely refunds for canceled flights. In the early pandemic response, they only offered rebookings or travel vouchers.

According to filings this week in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the lead plaintiff in the class-action case is prepared to settle.

A judge ruled last year that Delta was obligated to provide a refund if a passenger made a refund request.

No details of the proposed deal are yet available.
