Georgia’s electoral votes will officially be cast for President-elect Donald Trump at the state capitol today.
It is expected to be an uneventful meeting of the 16 electors selected by the Georgia Republican Party as they cast their votes for Trump after voters made their decision last month.
This is a far cry from four years ago when some Republicans put forward a slate of their own electors despite President Biden’s victory.
The full electoral vote count happens in Congress on Jan. 6.
